A Swiss "We Are The World" - written and produced by Department of Noise

Department of Noise wrote and produced the official song for the SRF3 charity campaign "Jeder Rappen zählt".

Nine Swiss musicians and three presenters together in a single song - that has never happened before in Switzerland. In addition to being suitable for groups, the song should of course also fulfill communicative tasks: It should be easy to sing along to, fit thematically, correspond to SRF3's expanded target audience (for the campaign) and - of course - provide the ultimate catchy tune that goes straight to the heart and calls on Switzerland to donate. In collaboration with soul singer Seven, Department of Noise wrote the song and then realized it.

Ph!L!pp Schweidler, Managing Partner of Department of Noise: "The production was comparable to a big jigsaw puzzle. Each artist should be shown to their best advantage, their idiosyncrasies should be audible - and yet the song should come across as 'all of a piece'. A lot of flexibility and imagination was required from everyone involved!"

The "JRZ" Allstars consist of: Stefan Buck from Hecht, Anna Känzig, Baschi, Marc Sway, Ritschi, Adrian Stern, Dabu from Dabu Fantastic, Seven and Gustav. Also featured in the song is the presenter trio Anic Lautenschlager, Judith Wernli and Nik Hartmann, who is also very taken with the project: "I'm thrilled with the passion and spontaneity with which the musicians have approached this matter."

The sales proceeds will benefit the fundraising campaign, which will once again take place in Lucerne in its tenth and final edition. The Swiss population is also called upon to send in their own versions of the song, which will be published during the donation week from December 15 to 21, 2018.
