New agency for marketing "nerds

The Zurich-based "N3RDS agency" focuses on consulting, strategy and creation in connection with elements of nerd culture - i.e. gaming, esports, anime, manga, fantasy, pop culture, cosplay and comics.

Launched on October 01, 2023 with headquarters in Zurich's Beethovenstrasse, the new agency with skills from consulting, strategy, creation and social media focuses on classic marketing in conjunction with elements of nerd culture. That means: a passion for nerd topics such as gaming, esports, anime, manga, fantasy, pop culture, cosplay and comics.

And this is not such a small target group: almost 50 percent of 14- to 55-year-olds are interested in gaming, 42 percent in fantasy and science fiction, 33 percent in superheroes. What's more, all these subcultures are interconnected. Esports fans like games, gamers love fantasy and science fiction. And those who like comics usually also like anime or games. In addition, this super culture overlaps with areas such as fashion and music.

The founding duo consists of Alina Limacher, 22 years old with an IT and business administration background and agency experience, and Christoph Glaus, 37 years old with a journalism background and broad agency and corporate experience. Together they want to stand for the commitment to build bridges between generations and to bring commonalities to the fore. Since their founding, the two have been supported by Reto Canova, an expert in content and social media, and Andreas Dürler, who as Creative Director is responsible for the original visions.

Batman for grandma

"Today, many brands are targeting the youngest possible audience and investing a lot of money to woo this generation. A lot of money for a relatively small audience. In many respects, we think campaigns that can address three generations at the same time are better and more effective. Not only does it make more efficient use of ever-shrinking marketing budgets, it also builds bridges between the generations. After all, even my 82-year-old grandmother knows Batman," says Christoph Glaus, Managing Partner of Nerd Agency AG.
