At Wunderman Thompson, the briefing is now also a beer

Wunderman Thompson regularly designs its own beer labels. The current version is interactive and should help make small talk at the next company event a breeze.

Wunderman ThompsonFor an internal competition, all apprentices each designed a beer label with that certain something. Afterwards, all Wunderman Thompson employees chose the best idea.

The winner was the "Briefing" by Noah Nachtrab, who is in his third year of learning Interactive Media Design. His beer etiquette is intended to strengthen cohesion in the agency, as well as the occasions on which the beer is drunk.

Nachtrab's interactive label turns smalltalks into challenges. Since many don't know what to talk about at corporate events, the beer is designed to get people talking in a playful way. "The beer is your brief for a cool party. So it's more than just a beer, and also has a social role," Nachtrab explains.

The QR code on the labels can be used to select one of three challenges. These include a clothing swap, dancing exuberantly on the next chair, or the question of which animal you most resemble. The challenge inputs came from all employees, who are continuously adding more challenges. In addition, a ranking list with points is kept. Depending on how well you overcome the challenge, you get more points.

"It's great to see how original Noah has been in his approach to this task. Ideas like this are the perfect opportunity for us to involve trainees in our Collision way of working. They implemented their ideas in a team with experts from UX design, creation and technology," explains Swen Morath, CCO of Wunderman Thompson.

Each challenge also has its own icon design, which was also created by Noah Nachtrab. The new "briefing" is now available in the agency to enjoy and experience and, according to the agency, should also be so well received on the customer side that correspondingly adapted implementations for their events are already being examined.
