The declared aim of the ellexx financial platform is to empower women financially. 56% of women in German-speaking Switzerland are unable to keep their heads above water financially. The fintech therefore aims to help women close their financial gaps in a meaningful way. In addition to a membership and women-friendly investment and insurance products, it also offers articles and a comprehensive collection of financial knowledge.

Ellexx has already been able to support, inform and educate more than 50,000 women and has become the largest crowdinvesting company run by women to date. This way of doing business with a positive social impact has now earned the young company an award: the globally active Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF) was the first company in Switzerland to award the "People and Planet First" label to the Ellexx financial platform for women.

The award underlines a trend: many women are founding companies that not only aim to maximize profits, but also to benefit the environment and society. Studies show that 54% of women give these dimensions a high priority, compared to 39% of men. Surveys also show that 63% of female founders state that they primarily set up a start-up because they want to leave the world a better place. Ellexx focuses on the "S" for social within the ESG measures, which stands for more equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion within entrepreneurial structures.
