Swiss brings head of media from Swiss Post on board

The airline Swiss has made a find in its search for a new leader for its communications department. Léa Wertheimer, who currently heads Swiss Post's media office, will take over as head of the airline's Corporate Communications team in April.

Léa WertheimerShe succeeds Daniel Baerlocher, who stepped down from his post in October to accept a new position (Werbewoche.ch reported). Wertheimer is "the ideal candidate for this challenging position due to her many years of diverse experience in the communications industry," Swiss CEO Dieter Vranckx is quoted as saying in a statement.

Wertheimer has been Head of Media Relations at Swiss Post since the beginning of 2017. Her previous positions include media spokesperson for the State Secretariat for Migration in Bern and journalist at the New Lucerne Newspaper and the Zürcher Oberland Medien.

According to the release, Wertheimer has also worked as an aviation employee at Swissport and also as a flight attendant at Swissair. (SDA/swi)
