Tamedia Commuter Media with a new management team as of 2020

Tamedia is reorganizing its management team in the commuter media division under the leadership of Marcel Kohler. In addition to existing managers, two digital experts, Marc Challandes and Sven Ruoss, will return to Tamedia from January 1, 2020.

Marcel_Kohler

Marcel Kohler (pictured above), Managing Director of Pendlermedien and member of the Tamedia Management Board: "We want to take advantage of the greater entrepreneurial freedom in the new Group structure and, in addition to the numerous existing projects in Switzerland and abroad, also actively promote new topics."

Marc_Challandes

A new role of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will be created, who will be responsible for commercial offerings in collaboration with advertising marketing. Marc Challandes (pictured above) has been brought back for this purpose. The digital expert was Head of Commercial Products & Technology at Tamedia Advertising until July 2018 and is currently Head of Digital Sales & Innovation at the Blick Group. Marc Challandes holds a Master of Advanced Studies ZFH in Digital Business.

Sven_Ruoss

With Sven Ruoss (pictured above) as the new Chief Product Officer (CPO), another former employee and online specialist is returning to Tamedia. His new tasks include responsibility for product development and the social media team. Sven Ruoss has worked at Ringier since 2015, currently as Head of New Business & Sports at the Blick Group. From 2012 to 2014, he was Project Manager in the Corporate Development & Projects department at Tamedia. He holds a Master's degree in Marketing, Services and Communication Management from the University of St. Gallen.

Annina_Flueckiger

Annina Flückiger (pictured above) has been appointed Chief Commercial Content Officer (CCCO) and will be responsible for the rapidly growing Commercial Publishing division and the Social team. Annina Flückiger joined the 20 minuteswhere she was responsible for the marketing of the media brand and the publishing house of 20 Minutes Friday was head of the She currently heads the Commercial Services & Marketing Solutions division of Tamedia Advertising. She holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Business Communications. 

Valerie_Henzen

Valérie Henzen (above), Team Lead of Product Management 20 minuteswill be promoted to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in the new organization and will be responsible for marketing within the commuter media. After holding various positions in marketing and event management, the qualified marketing manager has been working at 20 minutes and has a high level of expertise and many years of experience.

Marco_Di_Bernardo

Marco Di Bernardo (pictured above) is taking on the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He has been with Tamedia since March 2018, where as Head of Program Management of Group IT he is responsible for the coordination and management of all IT projects in the Publishing division. The graduate business economist has in-depth technology and IT expertise and most recently held management positions at Ringier for several years.

Philippe_Favre

The responsibilities in French-speaking Switzerland remain unchanged with Philippe Favre (pictured above) as Editor-in-Chief of 20 Minutes and Laurent Siebenmann (picture below) as editor-in-chief of Lematin.ch unchanged. With their appointment to the Executive Board of Pendlermedien, both will report directly to Marcel Kohler from January 1, 2020.
