The NZZ Media Group wants to further develop its four Central Switzerland newspapers and magazines, Anzeiger Luzern, Insider, Zuger Presse and Zugerbieter, and focus even more on quality. That's why Florian Hofer is taking on the new role of Editor-in-Chief for the four titles. "We want to work on the content and presentation of all publications. Even free titles have to deliver a high journalistic performance in order to survive in the market," says Hofer. The 55-year-old has been editorial director and editor-in-chief of the Zuger Presse since 2002 and editor-in-chief of the Zugerbieter since 2006. Since November 2016, he has also been responsible for the journalism of the Anzeiger Luzern and the Insider. The previous editorial heads of the Anzeiger and magazines, Marcel Habegger for the Anzeiger Luzern, Lukas Zberg for the Insider and Claudia Schneider-Cissé for the Zugerbieter, will retain their functions and report directly to Florian Hofer.

The Anzeiger Luzern is an independent weekly newspaper for the city and agglomeration of Lucerne with a circulation of 101ʼ000 copies. The lifestyle magazine Insider appears every two weeks with a circulation of 20ʼ000 copies and is distributed at selected locations in Lucerne and Zug. The weekly newspapers Zuger Presse and Zugerbieter are distributed in the canton of Zug and in Baar and Allenwinden, respectively, and reach 55ʼ000 households. Overall, the NZZ Media Group's advertisers in Central Switzerland reach a total circulation of 186ʼ000 copies. "With the large overall reach and the different positioning of the four ads, we can offer our customers an attractive mix of advertising opportunities," explains Caroline Thoma, Managing Director of Reach Media at the NZZ Media Group.
