Philippe Pfister becomes head of ZT-Newsroom

Philippe Pfister, who headed SonntagsBlick on an interim basis until August, will become the new Editor-in-Chief of the Zofinger Tagblatt newsroom as of January 1, 2017. The function includes the journalistic management of all print and digital media of ZT Medien.

Philippe Pfister grew up in Altishofen in the canton of Lucerne and studied history and journalism in Zurich. He gained his first journalistic experience at the Willisauer Boten, and later worked for various Lucerne daily and local newspapers. Between 1994 and 1999, he was first a reporter, then chief reporter at Blick, after which he moved to the Sonntagszeitung, where he headed the news department for five and a half years. In 2007, he played a key role in the launch of the commuter newspaper News, which he headed as editor-in-chief. Between April 2009 and August 2016, he was deputy editor-in-chief of SonntagsBlick. While working, Philippe Pfister completed a postgraduate course in "Philosophy and Management" at the University of Lucerne between 2004 and 2009, from which he graduated with a master's degree. Philippe Pfister is married and lives in Zurich.
