L'illustré and TV8 are merged

TV8 will no longer be published as an independent magazine, but will be integrated into L'illustré. This will be accompanied by job cuts and a change in the editor-in-chief.

The affected employees supported by accompanying measures, it said.

This is also accompanied by a personnel change: Laurence Desbordes will be the new Editor-in-Chief. Effective January 12, 2023, the 57-year-old will take over as Editor-in-Chief from Stéphane Benoit-Godet, who is leaving the company. Desbordes is currently Editor-in-Chief of TV8. Together with the editorial teams of L'illustré and TV8 Desbordes is to merge the content and organization of the two journals in the coming weeks.

The new concept includes proven content, a stronger focus on French-speaking Switzerland with more reports on people from the region, tips for leisure activities, restaurants and stores. The reporting will also be expanded to include the contents of the magazine TV8 supplemented, with the broadcast schedules of 103 stations.
