Tagi launches app for Apple Watch
The 122-year-old Tages-Anzeiger has a new distribution channel: As of now, there is an app for Apple's smartwatch.
This watch is the most important new product for Apple since the launch of the iPad, according to a Tamedia release on Friday. The Tages-Anzeiger is now equipped for this trend. It is now also available on the new Apple Watch.
Users will enjoy the following services:
1. the newsroom sends them the most important headlines as push alerts to your smartwatch.
2. in the "Checks" (German) or "Glances" (English), the Apple Watch shows useful things at a glance. The engineers call it "searchable summaries of the most frequently needed information". The headlines of the four latest articles of the Tages-Anzeiger are displayed there.
In the Watch app, you can find the four most recent articles at any time. The headline, image, and introductory text are displayed. A bookmark option also appears. Tapping it opens the article on the iPhone - in full length.
The Watch app is an extension of the iPhone app of the Tages-Anzeiger and available free of charge in the Apple Store from 3.7.2015. A short explanatory video can be found on Tagesanzeiger.ch.
