Balance: New Deputy Editor-in-Chief

Erik Nolmans, previously a writer at Bilanz, will become the new deputy editor-in-chief of the Swiss business magazine on August 1. He succeeds Stefan Barmettler, who is taking over as Editor-in-Chief of Handelszeitung.

Nolmans, 51, worked for the Sonntagszeitung and Facts, including as a U.S. correspondent, before joining Bilanz magazine 13 years ago. He is the author of several non-fiction books. He will be succeeded as author by 44-year-old Peter Hossli, currently a writer for the Blick Group, according to a statement Wednesday. Hossli was previously editor-in-chief of the iPad magazine The Collection, worked for several years as a correspondent in New York for various Swiss and German publications and before that worked for Facts.

"I am very pleased to have won over Erik Nolmans and Peter Hossli, two excellent journalists with great knowledge of the economy, for these positions," emphasizes Bilanz Editor-in-Chief Dirk Schütz.
