The main prize of 15,000 Swiss francs will no longer be awarded. This decision was preceded by a rough discussion of the content in the jury, according to Swiss Photo Award - Ewz.Selection in response to an inquiry from SDA.

The Swiss Photo Award will be more museum-like this year than in the past: it will show almost three times more works and it will extend the exhibition period from one to two weeks. In addition, the selection of the best Swiss photographic works will take place in a completely redesigned exhibition architecture from May 17 to June 2 in the EWZ substation Selnau in Zurich. The event will kick off with a vernissage and a simple awards ceremony on Thursday, May 16.

With the Tages-Anzeiger, the Swiss Photo Award Ewz.Selection has gained a new partner for the newly introduced category of reportage photography, according to a statement by the Swiss Photo Award. The cooperation allows the presence of the award to be expanded through advertisements.
