Goldbach Media: New station for women

On January 1, the entertainment channel Sixx launches its Swiss advertising window. The station is marketed by Goldbach Media.

The station's programming is aimed specifically at women. Sixx is distributed digitally and can be received with the Swiss signal on UPC cablecom and Swisscom TV. A further expansion is to follow in the coming months. Goldbach Media wrote this in a statement on Friday.

Sixx is part of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group. The station's core target audience is women between the ages of 20-39. Sixx is intended to complement Seven One Media's portfolio in Switzerland and create an exclusive focus in the overall portfolio of marketer Goldbach Media, according to the release.

Every Monday, Sixx will feature U.S. series like Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives and Gossip Girl. Tuesday is all about infotainment, with formats like "Sixx - Das Magazin. On Wednesday evenings, the station will show two feature films, and Thursday will be "Goosebumps. Mystery series like Vampire Diaries and Ringer will be shown. On Friday, the focus is on medical series like Private Practice and Emergency Room, and on the weekend, film classics are shown.
