Energy Basel about to take off?
A new radio station is to be developed at Radio Basel. Rumors have been around for a long time, but now the project is to become concrete.
20 Minuten online reports a system breakdown which is supposed to prove this: The broadcasting failure had occurred on Thursday morning. All of a sudden, the entire system at Radio Basel collapsed. Instead, an unknown network called Energy.local was displayed on the screen in the radio studio. For 20 Minuten online, it is now definitely clear that Radio Basel is secretly working on a change of station concept in the background - away from the text-heavy station with a focus on editorial contributions, towards the entertainment and lifestyle-oriented Energy format. An internal information event for employees is also planned for this week. And the adaptation of the infrastructure is also to be completed in the next few days.
Blick.ch also reports on the intensification of rumors about a cooperation between Energy and Radio Basel. According to the portal, a staff meeting at Radio Basel is even scheduled for this evening.
Ringier, the owner of Energy, did not want to give any information to Werbewoche. Rumors about possible cooperations would not be commented on, they said.
