Migros gnome Finn receives the Animated Com Award International

The animated film "Migros - Finn" has won an award at the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film. The concept, developed by Wirz and directed by Kyra Buschor, Constantin Paeplow and Ben Liam Jones, received the Animated Com Award.

The award honors contributions to applied animation in international advertising. According to the jury, the "Finn" animations offer the audience an unexpected perspective on an everyday activity: shopping at the supermarket checkout.

A total of six prizes were awarded in Stuttgart on Saturday. The screenplay "Peterchens Mondfahrt" by Samadi Ahadi and Arne Nolting received the German Animation Screenplay Award. The prize for the best unfilmed screenplay for an animated film is endowed with 2500 euros.

The Trickstar Business Award with prize money of 7500 euros for innovative business models in the animation industry went to the cross-media 2D project "House of Broken Hearts." In it, Tünde Vollenbroek explores the failed love relationships of young adults.

The Stuttgart festival is considered one of the most important for animated film worldwide and for its connection to games and transmedia. At the 25th edition of the popular festival, more than 1000 animated films were shown over six days up to this Sunday. (hae/SDA)
