185,000 francs at the Pink Ribbon Gala

At the Pink Ribbon Christmas Gala, Ronan Keating gave an emotional concert together with Pink Ribbon Ambassadors Eliane Müller, Tiziana Gulino, Jesse Ritch and Luca Hänni. Ronan Keating had lost his beloved mother much too early to breast cancer and has since been campaigning for breast cancer prevention. Together with his family, he founded the "Marie Keating Foundation" more than 20 years ago and was able to accept the donation check for 185,000 Swiss francs at the gala, more than was ever collected at a Pink Ribbon Switzerland event in the last 15 years.

Together with Swiss stars Eliane Müller, Tiziane Gulino, Jesse Ritch and Luca Hänni, Keating entertained the audience at the benefit gala and sang along to the Pink Ribbon anthem "Zäme simer stercher".

An emotional film showed the commitment of Pink Ribbon Switzerland over the last 15 years, followed by a dance performance with 35 dancers. Among ten prizes, guests could bid for a round of golf with Ronan Keating - the amount rose to 26,000 Swiss francs.

The initiative has been promoting early detection of breast cancer since 2007, because a tumor detected early can save lives.
