Central Switzerland offers destinations of all kinds

Central Switzerland has more to offer than Lucerne and Bürgenstock. The demand from three protagonists proves this: Stefan Ryser, Managing Director of Brunnen-Schwyz Marketing AG, Frédéric Füssenich, Director of Engelberg-Titlis Tourismus AG, and Seraina Koller, Managing Director of Zug Tourism, are well aware of the importance of the conference, seminar and event business for their region.

Customized offers in Engelberg

Engelberg is already well developed in this respect, and Frédéric Füssenich's office offers its own department, which he promises will prepare customized offers for companies and associations within 24 hours. It is important to him that good work is done as early as the offer preparation stage; "that's why we also have a high satisfaction rate of over 90 percent. "Füssenich summarizes the most important arguments in favor of Engelberg as follows: "From the conurbations of Zurich and Basel, we are one of the quickest mountain destinations to reach with an international flair. This excellent accessibility, combined with the flair of our village, is the basis of our offers. In addition to good seminar infrastructure and the corresponding professional hotel industry, we are particularly strong in the implementation of social programs; whether sports and team building or culinary and culture."

Knife and a lot of cherry in Brunnen-Schwyz

The Brunnen-Schwyz region - the two towns have only recently joined forces in terms of tourism - also offers a wide range of framework programs. Stefan Ryser is thinking more in terms of content programs, such as a visit to Victorinox's Swiss Knife Valley or an experience at Kirschwelt Dettling, both located in Brunnen. At the one, you can assemble a Swiss military knife yourself under expert guidance; at the other, for example, you can taste three selected fine cherry brandies.Engelberg-Titlis Tourismus bietet eine grosse Palette an Events und Rahmenprogrammen für Unternehmen.Despite digitalization, Füssenich is certain that personal contact with those responsible at the companies and individual advice are crucial for success. Engelberg-Titlis Tourism strictly adheres to its "24-hour rule" when answering every inquiry and can therefore boast a success rate of 40 percent. This means that four out of ten inquiries result in a booking.

Brunnen-Schwyz seeks solidarity

According to Stefan Ryser, business is also developing positively for his region. This is all the more important as the vacation hotel industry has suffered some setbacks in the past. Ryser therefore wants to expand the conference and event business and is also looking to join forces with providers in the local event & activity scene. Adventurepoint, for example, offers raft building and river tubing; Trekking Outdoor organizes high ropes course and cave-hole expeditions; Activeteam has igloos built and offers snowshoe tours; and Touch and Go is a specialist in paragliding from the local Urmiberg.

Free sunset in Zug

So emotions play a role, and this, right at the end, also in the business city of Zug. On a list of eleven arguments that should speak for Zug, Seraina Koller also lists the "sunset". "Our city is located on the eastern shore of Lake Zug. In the evening, the setting sun bathes the lake in the colors orange, red and yellow. People stop and pause. No wonder Zug's sunset is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. And the companies and associations that visit us can incorporate this magnificent sunset into their programs free of charge."www.zug.chwww.brunnen-schwyz.chwww.engelberg.ch
