No more 140 characters: Twitter tests "Tweetstorm
The U.S. microblogging service Twitter is testing a feature that makes it possible to post longer content, so-called "tweetstorms." Under normal circumstances, users only have 140 characters to get to the point.
However, this limited space is often not enough to make a point. The user "Devesh Logendran" has now discovered the hidden feature in the Twitter Android app.

With the help of this new feature, the user is not limited to single tweets. They can write a longer story, which is then split into several tweets by the app. This is done behind the scenes. This allows other users to read the whole story before giving their opinion. This longer content is posted as so-called "threaded tweets". The new feature is intended to attract new users who were previously put off by the 140-character limit.
Currently, the Tweetstorm function has not yet fully established itself. It can only be used by Android users in isolated cases. Twitter has not yet issued a statement regarding the official launch of this new extension.
