The Australian Road Safety Commission shows viewers what two seconds of carelessness means in terms of meters.

Road safety campaigns are a dime a dozen. And most of them are about the topic of smartphones behind the wheel these days. It sounds plausible that it's enough to be completely absorbed by the road for a few seconds. But what those moments really mean needs to be considered from time to time. The Road Safety Commission shows it with the help of the (originally named) agency The Brand Agency. Driving at a speed of 60km/h, you cover 33 meters in two seconds. 33 meters in which the car is traveling blindly and theoretically runs over everything that runs in front of it. Even if it's often difficult and the next Spotify playlist is only two clicks away, it really would be best to keep your hands off your cell phone while driving.
