Last but not least: Apartment viewing reloaded

Die Welt der Ideen ist klein. So erinnert zum Beispiel eine neue Kampagne der New Yorker Agentur Bravo/Y&R stark an eine, die im vergangenen Jahr bereits von Streuplan realisiert wurde. Zufall?

The topic of "living in deplorable conditions" is topical right now. The media report about Zurich "rotten houses"whose dilapidated apartments are rented out to welfare recipients at exorbitant prices. Living conditions are even worse for many people in the Third World. For this reason, last December Streuplan developed a high-profile campaign realized. Astonished and shocked Zurich residents were confronted with the desolate living conditions to which children in need are exposed during an apartment inspection:

The campaign attracted worldwide attention, has been viewed over 218'000 times on Youtube to date and featured on numerous international advertising portals. Now, thanks to the New York agency Bravo/Y&R, the idea is experiencing a miraculous rebirth with the "Pop-up Slum" campaign:

What does Streuplan have to say about it? When confronted with the campaign by Werbewoche, CEO and responsible Creative Director Thomas Back finds the similarity "crass". And takes the whole thing with humor. "We take it as a compliment - it's cool that a small Swiss agency is copied in New York." (hae)
