TV advertising pressure increases continuously according to Goldbach Index

Total advertising impressions for all media continued to rise in May. While electronic media declined slightly year-on-year, TV continued to show growth. This is shown by the Goldbach Index (Gemi) on advertising print in May 2017.


Total commercial printing of all media continues to be up year-on-year. After a slump in the fall of last year, the first five months of this year show steadily rising figures in total advertising print across all media. However, advertising pressure in display advertising has been falling steadily since its peak in summer 2016, and the same applies to radio and display. TV, on the other hand, continues to show an upward trend year-on-year.
