Rebel Communication: Solar sprint against the climate crisis

The agency Rebel Communication has realized a mobilization campaign for Greenpeace Switzerland to demand more speed from the Council of States in the expansion of solar energy. The final bouquet is a crowd advertisement that will appear in the NZZ and Le Temps today, Monday, at the start of the fall session.

Rapid solar expansion is crucial in the race against the climate and energy crisis. But parliament is still putting the brakes on the energy turnaround. Greenpeace is petitioning the Council of States to sprint for solar power. Specifically, in the upcoming revision of the Energy and Electricity Supply Act, the expansion targets for renewable energies should be more than doubled - especially for solar power.

With email marketing and cantonal social ads showing the Council of States in a starting pose, almost 20,000 people were won over to the politically important cause. Rebel Communication designed and implemented the campaign.

At the end of the petition, the supporters were called upon to become part of a crowd advertisement with their name or a donation. In it, Greenpeace, together with the signatories, addresses the Council of States directly.

Numerous personalities from science, society and culture support the call for a solar sprint. The two-page advertisement will appear in the NZZ and Le Temps on Monday, September 12, at the start of the fall session.
