Evoq and Swissmem use Gigampfi to promote AHV21 bill

With a giant "Gigigampfi" on Zurich's Turbinenplatz, Swissmem opens the referendum campaign in favor of a balanced AHV. The campaign was developed by Evoq.

With the oversized seesaw, the umbrella organization of the Swiss machine and electronics industry wants to symbolize the challenge of keeping the AHV in balance in the future.

Around 200 apprentices from various companies in the tech industry took the opportunity to test the seesaw. They are also the ones who will benefit from a balanced AHV in the future if their retirement provision is secured with a double "yes" at the ballot box.

Evoq realized the 30.42-meter-long structure in collaboration with Nüssli, which is known for temporary and special structures and has just built the stadium for the "Eidgenössische" in Pratteln.

Almost exclusively recyclable materials were used for the seesaw. The Nüssli employees were assisted in the construction by the apprentices present. After a little more than an hour, the first brave ones - secured with climbing harnesses - were able to put the seesaw into operation. The aim is to bring the seesaw into balance by shifting the weight and to move the large arrow in the middle into the green yes area.

The largest seesaw from America to date has a total length of around 25 meters - this record is surpassed by the seesaw from Swissmem and Evoq by over 5 meters.
