TBWA\Zurich and McDonald's whet the appetite for the festival summer

McDonald's is accompanying this year's festival season in Switzerland with a humorous poster campaign - and turning the stars into fans. TBWA\Zurich is responsible for the implementation.

After a two-year break from festivals, all the more people are partying at open airs all over Switzerland this summer. McDonald's is a stopover for thousands of music fans on their way to or from the festival. But, not only for fans, but also for the stars themselves.

In the national poster campaign, McDonald's wants to humorously show its connection with the music scene and stages the stars of the festivals as fans of Big Mac and Co.

The subjects were realized by TBWA\Zurich - without any shooting, just picture research and concert photos directly from band photographers, the management or the band itself. In the mood for one of McDonald's classics are Serra Petale of Los Bitchos, Pete Adams, former guitarist of Baroness, Airbourne frontman Joel O'Keeffe and classical conductor David Reiland.

The poster campaign can be seen throughout the summer around the biggest festivals such as Greenfield, OpenAir St.Gallen, Gurtenfestival, OpenAir Frauenfeld, Montreux Jazz Festival, Paleo Festival Nyon and Rock Oz Arenes Avenches.
