Migros "Support your Sport" promotion by Wirz enters the next round

Wirz stages the next round of the successful promotion campaign "Support your Sport" for Migros. With a tribute to Swiss amateur athletes who give everything for their sport, far away from the hype of stardom, professional support and million-dollar salaries.

Migros-FörderaktionAccording to Wirz, the "Support your Sport" campaign in 2021 exceeded all expectations. The idea of supporting a favorite club with a club voucher with every purchase was so well received by the sports clubs and their environment that Migros doubled the donation pot from 3 to 6 million Swiss francs at the end of the campaign - enabling hundreds of club wishes to be fulfilled.

"Being successful means: giving, giving again and again; you can't prevent it from coming back": This is one of the most famous quotes by Migros founder Gottlieb Duttweiler. Migros continues to act consistently according to the principle of social commitment and is sending the promotion campaign back to the starting line in 2022 to distribute a further 6 million Swiss francs to the still Corona-stricken Swiss sports clubs. For the second round, the promo mechanics and the motto have been retained, but the visual appearance and the content of the communication have been adapted. With an increased focus on amateur sports and its passionate protagonists, who themselves also give again and again and for whom often no way is too far, no day too wet, no closing time too late and no commitment too great.

Amateur athletes staged as stars

The visual centerpiece of the campaign designed by Wirz is the key visual - an eye-catching composing that portrays typical Swiss recreational athletes in the style of the great international sports icons. It will be played out on posters, print, social media and various other digital channels. Two TV spots and four online films translate the core idea with typical Migros humor into moving and animated images, subtly implemented. With a wink, they convey the difficulties that amateur athletes face on a daily basis, while at the same time celebrating the passion with which they nevertheless get down to work.
