After 31 years of providing parents with the BFU Children's Post as a source of information, the BFU is launching "Ouups! The prevention campaign is designed to provide new parents with helpful info and warn them of dangers to their children. Part of the campaign are videos on the topic of "Little things - big danger", which convey vital information without red-faced severity, threatening fingers or horror storylines.

In the pitch, Maybaum Film from Baden convinced with fresh ideas and straightforward storytelling. With clever camera work and effective post-production, the campaign videos show the dramatic size of small dangers. At the end of each episode, what is desirable in the situations depicted happens: absolutely nothing. And that's because attentive parents effortlessly eliminate the sources of danger, thereby preventing worse. Maybaum illustrates best practices using people who are "just like you and me." In this way, young parents feel encouraged to master this additional responsibility as well.

Laurent Ulrich of Maybaum Film directed and reached new spheres of patience and an unimagined level of fun during the shoot. The youngest actors on set were toddlers, whose unpredictability provided many laughs, but also additional takes. The parents of the little main actors were present on each day of shooting and motivated their offspring when the game with the camera suddenly became boring. The result is authentic film and photo footage that shows various dangers in the everyday life of small children.

The first two videos by Maybaum clearly show which foods and small objects babies can choke on and suffocate. The next safety videos will be produced in 2021 and will deal with scalding, drowning and falling off the changing table, which should not be underestimated. The "Ouups!" videos require little text and can therefore also be understood by people from other language regions. The BFU has placed particular emphasis on comprehensibility and comprehensibility, because every child who is seriously injured or even dies in seemingly harmless everyday life is one too many.
