If you need more than vacations, you need Switzerland: Wirz launches new Switzerland tourism campaign

With "I need Switzerland. Switzerland Tourism is launching a large-scale, multi-year platform that positions Switzerland's energy-giving nature both nationally and internationally.

In Switzerland it is possible to experience a pristine nature, which is easily accessible. Those who want to experience a sunset in front of a breathtaking panorama can get there safely and on time. If you want to cool off outside, you can always jump into a crystal clear lake without any worries. In Switzerland you won't be eaten by wild animals, and you can get anywhere on the mountains either by hiking boots or by gondola. It is precisely these advantages that make Switzerland and its nature a vacation destination where everyone can recharge their batteries to the maximum.

In short: If you really want to relax, if you really want to escape from everyday life, if you really want to return to everyday life full of energy, then you need more than a vacation. Then you need Switzerland. "Wirz condenses this core advantage of Switzerland as a vacation destination into the multifaceted platform we are launching today: 'I need Switzerland,'" says André Hefti, Head of Marketing at Switzerland Tourism.

A platform as diverse as Switzerland

Topical and thematic subjects bring Switzerland to the respective target groups - on all digital channels and OOH. Furthermore, the platform "I need Switzerland." will be made accessible in an emotional film. Due to COVID-19, the originally globally planned campaign will initially focus on Switzerland and neighboring countries. This will be followed by various highlights that put Switzerland in the spotlight off the beaten track.

Switzerland needs more tourists

COVID-19 has led to a massive slump in guest numbers; guests from Switzerland and Europe have been almost completely absent in recent weeks and months. High time to win them back for Switzerland.

"We are aware of the responsibility. With 'I need Switzerland.' we've laid out the carpet for many other measures," says Livio Dainese, Co-CEO I CCO of Wirz BBDO, adding: "But above all, we're mighty proud that as of today we're allowed to sell Switzerland worldwide."
