Art.I.schock sheds light on Catholic church taxes

The Catholic Church in the Canton of Zurich receives around 220 million Swiss francs annually in taxes and cantonal contributions. What does it do with this money? The Zurich agency Art.I.schock sheds light on this.

Only a small part of the available funds is used for the Church's own tasks, such as church services or celebrations. The Catholic Church uses the largest part for social activities and for its commitment to young people or people on the margins of society.

It now shows how it does this in a flyer supplementing the annual report and on the associated Internet site Church tax works.ch. For this purpose, it opens its colorful windows, behind which information is hidden. The thematically appropriately designed windows are intended to symbolize the colorful Catholic Church with their blaze of color.

The website was designed and implemented by Art.I.schock. The agency was guided by the window as a classic symbol of the church. Further measures are being planned - the implementation of the website in other languages is also being considered for a later date.
