The Battery Man is back

Since 2012, Battery-Man has been fighting alongside Inobat Batterierecycling Schweiz against batteries in waste. And so successfully that the campaign is now being continued for four years.

Although 95 percent of the population knows that you don't throw away flat batteries, one in four batteries never comes back. With Battery-Man, Polyconsult has created a unique superhero who has been fighting this grievance on all channels since 2012 - with success.

The superhero and his campaign enjoy great awareness (94%) and likeability (85%) among the target group. Today, Battery-Man has over 41,000 fans on Facebook and, thanks to its strong viral effect, has gained many imitators and ambassadors for battery recycling over the years. The successful results also brought the campaign an Effie. After a temporary sabbatical, Battery-Man is now back - fresher and more committed than ever.

Speaking of battery recycling

The basic idea of the new Battery Man campaign is: create high-involvement for no-involvement. The target groups are interested in everything but battery recycling. That's why the green-yellow popular figure appears again and again in environments that have a positive connotation among the young target group and makes his case heard with surprising short appearances. For example, in music videos, fitness tutorials, TV romances or fantasy films, as the spots show. But Battery-Man also gets in on the action on social media - sometimes with quite adventurous apropos transitions, but always charming, funny and, above all, always new and surprising.

Content-specific social media ads

In social media, the Apropos campaign can show off its versatility. Above all on Youtube and Facebook, ads are placed that are related to the news or the environment. The campaign has been running since the beginning of September in selected broadcast environments on TV (classic and online), on Youtube, Facebook and above all on Instagram, where Battery-Man shows his private side.
