"Disappointing": Digitec continues to rely on customer ratings in new campaign

The concept remains the same: Digitec shows real product reviews from real customers. These are naturally subjective. So they can also be negative. And there is often a subtle sense of humor.

According to Digitec, Switzerland's most active shopping community has so far created around 25,000 discussion posts, written 200,000 questions and answers, and submitted 250,000 reviews on products currently in the range. The ultimate goal is for customers to find the right products for them, the company writes. The campaign is intended to encourage customers to share even more in the community and advise each other, it adds. "By the way, we are convinced that the honesty and openness of our advertising campaign does not harm any product or manufacturer. On the contrary: especially in times of social media, a transparent approach to controversial opinions is essential for any brand."

The campaign runs from Monday to and including July 15 posted. The posters will hang for at least two weeks. In addition, the subjects will also be shown as hanging boards, eBoards, ePanels and online banners.
