Show face - but not to unlock the smartphone

Ten years after "It's not happening here, but now", the Walker agency launches its second campaign for Amnesty International Switzerland with "I'm here".

The integrated campaign consists, among other things, of a teaser film, which is launched at the same time as Apple's Christmas campaign for the iPhone X. The focus is on automatic facial recognition and what we can do with it. The focus is on automatic facial recognition and what we can do with it. We can use it to lock up our iPhone or become a unicorn. Or free a human being.

The viewer is motivated to do something really meaningful with his face. The campaign centers on Mahadine, an online activist and father of seven who was imprisoned and tortured for a Facebook post. Anyone who uploads their photo becomes part of the campaign and shows face for Mahadine and his family.

The spot has been running on television since Thursday. "I'm here" is growing by the hour thanks to the huge solidarity with Mahadine and has already generated almost 500,000 contacts on Amnesty.ch/ImHere. Thousands of people spontaneously show their faces on posters, on social media and in ads.
