Republica and T-Systems thank the nerds for Digitaltag

IT service provider T-Systems Switzerland celebrated the first Digitaltag Schweiz a little differently than its industry colleagues: with a personal thank you to the nerds - the heroes of digitization. A microsite and a film capture the action.

On November 21, T-Systems employees surprised seasoned and aspiring IT professionals at their workplaces in Basel, Aarau and Zurich under the motto "Thank You Nerds". From an eye-catching magenta-colored truck, the T-Systems team delivered personal thank-you gifts to the nerds. These included T-shirts and hoodies with digital designs, fresh pizzas, energy drinks and hot coffee.

Online film documents the action

The goal of the live action, conceived and accompanied by the Bern-based agency Republica, was to show personal appreciation for once to the daily movers and shakers of digitization: from person to person and completely analog. The action was captured in a film.

The hashtag #thankyounerds was distributed on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and Google+ on Digital Day. Social media posts that mentioned the thank-you campaign with photos or short video clips were posted simultaneously on the microsite created especially for the campaign. Thankyounerds.ch published. Since this week, sponsored posts in various social media have also been drawing attention to the microsite with the completed film. They are supplemented by posters and banners in the business environment.
