After the big autumn cattle show on October 21, more than 200 colorfully decorated cows made their way back to their farms in the Diemtigtal Nature Park for the so-called "Züglete". Cows, wreaths, bells - a colorfully decorated procession to a festive alpine sound.

Joining them was this year's guest of honor, Street Parade boss Joel Meier, who had the honor of crowning the very first "Miss Street Parade" - and one with two horns. Joel Meier was invited by David Mani, president of the Diemtigen 7 livestock cooperative.

The invitation was issued as part of the "Small Wonders of the World" campaign developed by Metzger Rottmann Bürge on behalf of the Federal Office for the Environment FOEN to raise awareness of the natural and cultural diversity of the 19 Swiss parks and to invite people to discover the many "small wonders of the world". As part of the campaign, personalities are invited at regular intervals to one of the Swiss parks to experience such a "small wonder of the world" in a personal way.

David Mani and Joel Meier celebrated together the togetherness of man and animal, of tradition and progress at the autumn cattle show in the Anger. The Diemtigtal Nature Park and the Street Parade: these are two prime examples of "Love, Peace & Tolerance". "We are proud to organize such a big event and to pass on our tradition. The fantastic weather, the satisfied growers and the happy visitors - this is my personal little wonder of the world," David Mani summed up the day. And Joel Meier marveled: "The Bernese Oberlanders definitely know how to celebrate parades! They have a big procedure and float inspection in the morning - like we do at the Street Parade. And they go out into the valley with a parade that is much louder than ours!"

The Diemtigtal Nature Park is the most important contiguous alpine farming area in Switzerland. Here, however, alpine farming is not only an economic form, but also a cultural one, which is lived every day in the 140 farms.

Metzger Rottmann Bürge's campaign has been on air throughout Switzerland since June 5, 2017 and will run for four years. Further information: Smallworldwonders.ch
