On Sunday, Adidas, Pharrell Williams, Stan Smith, and Adidas-sponsored tennis players Garbiñe Muguruza, Angelique Kerber, Sascha Zverev, Dominic Thiem and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga came together at Frederick Johnson Community Court in Harlem, New York, to host a tennis clinic with local youth organizations to launch "Quiet Please," a New York City-wide campaign calling on individuals to make groundbreaking pledges. During the event, Pharrell Williams unveiled his manifesto inviting New Yorkers to join him in a citywide call to believe in their voices and inspire change out loud through love.

Driven by the inspiration to look at tennis from a different angle and to view sport as a medium for positivity and change, Adidas and Pharrell Williams announced a neighborhood program to restore a tennis court in New York City with the help of a donation to NYC Parks and financial support for children's tennis education in partnership with Court16 and Horizons. In keeping with Pharrell Williams, his ethos and Adidas' commitment to changing people's lives through sports, the neighborhood program will provide a platform for the New York City community and provide opportunities for youth.

In celebration of Pharrell Williams' manifesto, Adidas will provide New York City, residents and special guests with a platform on August 28 from which to make their voices heard and urge everyone to inspire change through love out loud. Referee chairs are the symbolic icons of the "Quiet Please" campaign and will serve as physical stages throughout the city for people to declare and express their love. Ten referee chairs will create a citywide sensation at the following locations: Columbus Circle, The Apollo Theater, The New York Public Library, Herald Square, Flatiron, Union Square, Astor Place, Christopher Street at Gay Street, Petrosino Square and Atlantic Terminal.

"Every tennis match starts with these two words: Silence please. But change can be loud and our love can change everything. Off the tennis court, we will make our voices heard, as loud as we can. If you see the potential for good, stand up for it. Together, we can change the game for the better," the successful musician and producer is quoted as saying in a statement.
