Maxomedia immerses viewers in the world of top footballers

Swissquote wants to continue to grow in foreign exchange trading and is focusing on the parallels between traders and top footballers in its latest campaign. The bank offers an impressive all-round view into the world of superstars.

Both Swissquote and its partner from the English Premier League rely on data and analysis tools for their success. While the club uses running routes, performance curves and passes, the online bank uses market figures. Traders and footballers also share a passion for strategies. So who would be a better partner for Swissquote to drive forward the business with foreign currencies (Forex for short) internationally? At the heart of the latest online campaign are several 360° videos featuring well-known players from the first team.

One story, two perspectives

The campaign, designed by Maxomedia, immerses viewers in the world of top footballers. The clips tell a story from two perspectives. The commercials were shot in two 180° perspectives. Here the everyday life of the stars, there that of the trader. Viewers experience the parallels between football and forex trading in an impressive way.

The studio backdrop was prepared in advance in a 3D visualization to make the experience as real as possible. "We wanted to give users insights into unfamiliar situations and surprise them by showing them familiar faces in unfamiliar surroundings," says Reto Schild, Creative Director at Maxomedia, explaining the idea. The shoot is a combination of a real set (filmed in Hamburg) and a green screen set (filmed in Manchester).

Support from the club

The campaign will run for around six months and should ultimately increase the number of new customers. The target group is foreign exchange traders who are interested in the intellectual side of football. In addition to the 360° videos, the online campaign includes further online commercials, a specially created Landing pageweb banners on the English Premier Club's website as well as football portals and postings on the club's social media (Facebook, Twitter, Weibo). Towards the end of the campaign, "Behind The Scene" videos will follow, rounding off the stories with the stars.
