Together everything is easier

Why are we getting married? Because being together makes you happy. Why are the Swiss such a happy people? Because we seek and cultivate what we have in common. In its new campaign, Havas shows for Vaudoise Versicherungen that everything is possible in community - under the new claim "Happy together".

In the fall of 2016, Havas had won the Vaudoise mandate in a pitch and was commissioned to develop a long-term, coherent and attention-grabbing communications strategy. Now the agency's first works are on display.

Since the products of all insurance companies are similar, the strategic task was to find a new communication platform and to position Vaudoise in a targeted way. With a pointed brand guiding idea, the usual conventions of the insurance industry can be broken.

At the heart of this idea is community. "Vaudoise is a cooperatively organized company, and for us, community is of particular importance," explains Véronique Oliveira, who is responsible for communications at the Swiss insurer. As a cooperative, Vaudoise is committed exclusively to its customers and not to anonymous investors. "We live the community in the company, and we feel not only committed to our customers, but also connected."

The image campaign now being launched stages this conviction in a simple and likeable way - with two commercials demonstrating that together everything is easier. The first is about a young learner driver who is in danger of failing when trying to reverse park, but is then cheered on by passersby with a "You can do it! Of course, the maneuver then succeeds.

The campaign is supplemented with print and poster motifs, as well as digital advertising materials and a Campaign landing page. The campaign can be seen throughout Switzerland, but places particular emphasis on German-speaking Switzerland, where the insurance company wants to raise its profile.

In the coming months, Havas will develop further campaigns for Vaudoise. In addition to a product campaign and sponsorship communications, this will also involve social media initiatives and the improved use of digital touchpoints.

Havas CEO Frank Bodin is as happy as the protagonists of his advertising: "We are indeed happy together with Vaudoise, and very happy to be able to stage such a positive and relevant message," he says. Another reason for choosing Havas Zurich is that it offers all the disciplines of contemporary communication under one roof. Classic advertising as well as digital solutions, plus Mindshare's media know-how.
