Bespoke: Message Studios wants to start green revolution in Swiss commercials

Commercials are resource-intensive, and what impact their production has on the environment is usually secondary. This is now set to change. Zurich-based film production company Message Studios is launching its new "Bespoke" service to produce climate-neutral commercials.

Since 2019, Message Studios has been producing climate-neutral online ads and corporate films, according to its own statements. With the launch of the new service "Bespoke", the young film production wants to advance into the segment of television advertising. The launch comes under a new name, new logo and new Website.

"The response from the industry, namely from directors, agencies and clients has been gratifyingly positive and leads me to believe that this green revolution will permanently change the Swiss film market," said Damien Inderbitzin, CEO of Message Studios. "Even as we take this pioneering role, we hope that soon the entire advertising and film industry in Switzerland will follow suit."

How does green advertising work?

Message Studios' sustainable approach is based on the 4R principle "Reduce, reuse, recycle & remove".

  • ReduceThe most efficient way to reduce the ecological footprint is to emit fewer emissions. Great savings can be made in the choice of location, since the transportation of people, props and equipment is associated with great expense.
  • Reuse & Recycle: Disposable is not the way to go. From the production of props to the catering tableware, the aim is to rely on materials that can be reused several times and recycled when not used.
  • Remove: No matter how much is reduced, reused and recycled, there are always emissions. Message Studios offsets unavoidable CO2 emissions with Climeworks. This company guarantees the timely and permanent removal of CO2 from the atmosphere.

"We support companies in promoting their products and services effectively and at the same time respectfully towards the environment. We only have this one blue planet, let's take care of it together," says Inderbitzin.
