Dept Appoints Jerry Buhlmann as Non-Executive Chairman
Former Dentsu Aegis Network CEO Jerry Buhlmann is expected to support Dept's continued growth and global expansion as non-executive chairman.
International agency Dept announced Thursday that Jerry Buhlmann has joined the company as non-executive chairman. Buhlmann brings more than 40 years of experience in the media, marketing and advertising sectors and will work closely with Dept's Global CEO, Dimi Albers, as well as the board and leadership team to support the company's continued growth and global expansion.
Buhlmann was appointed CEO of Aegis Group PLC in 2010. Following the merger with Dentsu Inc., he became CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network in 2013. He remained in this role until 2018. Currently, Jerry Buhlmann is Chairman of Croud Ltd, a private equity-funded digital agency, and Chairman of Hybrid, a digital university marketing specialist. He is also a Senior Independent Director at Inchcape PLC and a Director of Tulchan Ltd, Serviceplan Group and Senior Advisor at OC&C. He is an angel investor and advisor to various digital marketing and e-commerce companies.
