Dept brings digital marketing agency Feed on board

Feed's expertise and proprietary technology are expected to help Dept grow its own international creative automation operations and expand its global footprint to Canada and Australia.

Dept MarketingDept is bringing more and more agencies together under one roof. This is now also the case for the Feed agency, which specializes in highly personalized, scalable digital content. It works for brands such as eBay, Aesop, Gumtree and Ancestry.com, among others.

Through the merger with Dept, Feed aims to accelerate its global growth. On board are 200 employees in Berlin, Paris, London, Manchester, San Francisco, Toronto and Sydney.

Feed supports brands and advertisers in strengthening customer relationships throughout the entire lifecycle. "We still see a lot of opportunities for larger companies in Switzerland to find cross-channel solutions in the area of creative production that take into account the increasing complexity at all levels," says Tobias Scholz, Director of Digital Marketing at Dept Switzerland "In particular, Feed's highly scalable creative content productions take us to an even higher level when it comes to data-driven creative."

Founded in Amsterdam in 2015, Dept has grown rapidly - from 150 employees in the Netherlands to more than 2,000 in 17 countries on five continents, including around 100 in Switzerland. This is the fourth acquisition this year for the agency, which is backed by investment firm The Carlyle Group - following MarTech agency Byte in February, U.S. software consultancy Devetry in April and Croatian development agency Blazing Edge in July. Dept also recently announced its expansion into the Asia-Pacific region, led by former Havas Group CEO Vishnu Mohan. (pd)
