Department of Noise sharpens its own brand identity

Department of Noise has sharpened its self-image and developed a new visual identity together with Fiction. With this, the agency wants to exemplify what it also sees as match-decisive for the brand success of its clients: an authentic, emotion-driven appearance that makes them consistently and clearly identifiable.

Department of Noise schärft die eigene MarkenidentitätThe world has become complex. Every day, information overload greets us on countless, highly fragmented channels that are subject to constant, technology-driven change. Add to this the pandemic change in values and the associated need for a clear, human attitude on the part of the counterpart. These aspects have fundamentally shaped the rebranding of Department of Noise.

"Emotionally open and inspired people are the driving force for social progress - and thus the key to a successful future" explains Philipp Schweidler, Partner at DoN. "We want to contribute to this with our work: by helping to communicate values and ambitions clearly and emotionally and to make them tangible. The shift in brand perception has long been a reality: away from a rational argument, towards an emotional experience."

Translating these claims to the visual level was the task of the German-Bulgarian branding agency Fiction. It created a system that represents the DoN brand in a human, bold and at the same time objective way. "The main inspiration of DoN's visual language was the superposition of sound and light waves and how we perceive them. The multi-layered design concept developed from this allows the brand to be expressed in a flexible way," explains Sofia Dimitrova, partner at Fiction.

Sitting on the other side of a branding process was an enlightening experience for DoN partner Florian Goetze: "Fiction managed to stage our brand in an incredibly natural way. Well done!"

The new corporate design is now visible on all digital channels of DoN. In line with the new positioning, the website has also been completely revised.
