Studio Roth&Maerchy becomes Studio Way

Since 2008, the Zurich agency Studio Roth&Maerchy has been supporting projects on their way to their goal. From mid-July, all long-standing members of the team will be co-owners of the newly founded Studio Way AG. This change is the result of an internal transformation that has accompanied the studio for more than a year.

The studio Roth&Maerchy is now called Studio Way and presents itself with a new appearance. From now on, the studio will be managed by its long-time employees, who will participate in the AG with equal shares. The new organizational structure is the reflection of a reality that has become increasingly apparent over the past few years, the agency said in a statement.

Studio Roth&Maerchy was founded in 2008 by Monica Märchy and Martin Roth and has since realized a wide range of projects for clients at the interface of culture and business. These include, among others, the Zurich Office of Urban Development, the Balance Familie, the Berner Generationenhaus, Kosmos-Kultur AG, the Kunsthaus Zürich, Migros Kulturprozent, the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich, Park Igls, the Reso Tanznetzwerk Schweiz, the Stapferhaus, the Wohnbaugenossenschaften Zürich or Zürich Tanzt.

Foundation stone for change

When Martin Roth took over the management of Zurich's Kulturhaus Kosmos in 2015 and was no longer operationally active at Studio Roth&Maerchy as of 2017, Monica Märchy continued to lead the company with Tatjana Egorow and Eleonora Nodari, who have been with the company since 2011 and 2014, respectively, on the executive board. This change laid the foundation for further changes in the future.

With the wish of Monica Märchy and Martin Roth to involve the team in the AG and the simultaneous need of the employees* to take on more responsibility, the search for a new corporate form began in 2020.

The latest step toward equal partnership and self-organization is consistent. Apart from the name, nothing will change for customers.
