Havas Switzerland expands competencies in the sports sector

Havas strengthens the Sports team. The aim is to meet the increasing demand for strategic support in "fan relationship management" from international sports and e-sports organizations. Havas Sports supports rights holders in their innovation strategy, maximizing the fan experience and increasing revenues from marketing. The business unit draws on its extensive knowledge of sports and e-sports fans, their development and their different profiles, gathered through Havas Group's internal studies.

In close cooperation with the Creative, Media and Customer Experience service pillars of Havas Village, Havas Sports offers a complete package for marketing consulting and sponsorship activities. In this context, the hitherto little-used capital "data" is at the center of "Fan Relationship Management".

This business unit will be headed by Yann Baffalio (pictured), formerly Head of Fan Relationship Management and Director of Insights & Analytics at Havas Sports & Entertainment Paris. Baffalio will coordinate international projects out of Switzerland with the sports and entertainment agencies of the Havas network. At the same time, he will continue to oversee Havas partnerships with start-ups such as Fanprime.io, a fan loyalty solution developed for rights holders.

"The pandemic has also changed the sports and fan experience. Integrating digital media as well as working with data is a big challenge for rights holders and sponsors," explains Nathalie Diethelm, CEO of Havas Switzerland. "Havas Sports is the logical extension of the full-service promise of Havas Villages in Switzerland, where strategy, creativity and digital know-how are at the core."
