Excitement at the HB: Roger Federer and Trevor Noah shoot in Zurich

The Swiss tennis maestro and American late-night star Trevor Noah caused a stir at Zurich's main train station on Wednesday: together they shot - presumably - a commercial.

Hustle and bustle at Zurich's main train station: On Wednesday afternoon, a crowd formed around a cordoned-off area of the traffic hub. The reason was two absolute superstars paying their respects in Zurich, namely tennis maestro Roger Federer and late night talker Trevor Noah. (Image: Johannes Hapig)

Many travelers were quite astonished: Two international mega stars suddenly stood out from the normal rail traffic at Zurich's main station on Wednesday afternoon. Tennis maestro Roger Federer and late-night talker Trevor Noah were there, surrounded by a large film crew. Part of the station had been cordoned off for them.

The two celebrities (who, according to media reports, also maintain a close friendship in private) were engrossed in filming - and repeated the same scene over and over again, as the author of this article was able to observe. Initially seated on two director's chairs, Federer and Noah then got up and walked down the platform; towards a train of the new Goldenpass express line between Montreux and Interlaken.

It is therefore reasonable to assume that the creation of a new commercial for Switzerland Tourism could be observed "live" here - after the clips of Federer together with Anne Hathaway and Robert DeNiro respectively had already ensured extraordinary success. Neither Switzerland Tourism nor any of the agencies considered for involvement wanted to confirm this immediately. But nevertheless: The campaign has already attracted a first round of attention (and lots of cell phone videos).
