Livesystems digitizes the F12 poster

Livesystems presents the first digital F12 billboard. The launch takes place at Zurich's main train station, one of the most attractive advertising locations in Switzerland.

The poster sites of Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich are the first in Switzerland to be digitized in this format. About a year ago, Livesystems won the contract to market the analog billboards (F12L) of Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich at the main train station.

"We participated in this tender because the potential for digitization existed and was part of the tender. We were very pleased with the forward-looking attitude of the Zurich public transport authority and the cooperative interaction with the authorities during the approval process," says Christian Imhof, Chief Operations Officer of Livesystems.

With the building permit for the conversion at the main station, the starting signal for a national digitization project has been given for Livesystems.

Energy efficient technology

These are the first analog poster sites in F12 format in Switzerland to be replaced by the LED solution from Livesystems. Livesystems is thus doing pioneering work in the field of digital outdoor advertising. "With our new product, we deliberately rely on energy-efficient LED technology, which consumes significantly less power than the most common LCD screens.

Thanks to integrated sensors, the brightness and light control is always regulated. To avoid light pollution, the new product shines with the same intensity as the conventional illuminated F12L," promises Imhof.

Digital advertising spaces give advertisers more flexibility in advertising content. Daily or even more regular changes of subjects are possible. Advertisers can also play different subjects at the same time in an outdoor advertising campaign, which can increase the impact of a campaign.

Great interest

The expansion of further locations is already being planned. There is great interest in the LED posters: "We are in contact with several location partners. Further extensive digital implementations are planned," continues Imhof. Site partners will participate in the advertising revenue.
