BDVW Creative Ranking 2020: Serviceplan in first place
With 2003 points, the Serviceplan/Plan.Net agency group secured first place in the creative ranking of the German Digital Industry Association (BVDW). In second and third place are Denkwerk with 1714 points and Jung von Matt with 1168 points.
The weighting of the awards relevant for the BDVW Creative Ranking is based on a two-stage query on the value of the awards among the ranking's advisory board members on the one hand and the agencies from the BVDW membership on the other. New digitally relevant categories have also been added to the BVDW Creative Ranking 2020. These include the "Direct" category for the D&AD and the "Covid-19 Crisis Communication" category for the German Online Communication Award.
Places four to ten go to Kolle Rebbe with 892.5 points, BBDO with 696 points, Cheil Germany with 695 points, Heimat Berlin with 666 points, MRM//McCann with 656 points, Demodern with 616.5 points and Scholz & Friends with 429 points. The ranking shows the 30 most successful agencies in the most important creative competitions.
"The ranking is always a reflection of the work that won in the awards we evaluated. We are particularly pleased that this year a particularly large number of cases had a digital product or service character," emphasizes Stefan Mohr, Chairman of the Full-Service Digital Agencies Expert Group at BVDW. "This shows the full range of digital agencies: campaigns, products, platforms, creative commerce, technology solutions - always with a highly creative claim and from a technologically savvy engineering perspective. Serviceplan managed to stay at the top in 2020 despite the circumstances, but I was also impressed by Scholz & Friends, which climbed from 18th to 10th place," concludes Mohr.
In order to always adequately reflect the market, the evaluation matrix of the creative ranking is regularly adjusted by the BVDW's specialist group for full-service digital agencies. The advisory board is made up of members of the BVDW presidium, the chairpersons of the BVDW's specialist group for full-service digital agencies, and the management of the digital association. Media partners of the BVDW creative ranking are Horizont and Werben & Verkaufen.
