Graubünden vacations and Nino Schurter enter into partnership

Graubünden Ferien has entered into a partnership with mountain bike world champion and Olympic champion Nino Schurter for the years 2021 to 2023. Schurter will promote a fair coexistence on Graubünden's hiking paths and trails as part of the "Fairtrail Graubünden" campaign from summer 2021.

The collaboration was announced on Monday. Nino Schurter will become a testimonial of "Fairtrail Graubünden" through the partnership with Graubünden Ferien. He will appear in a video campaign that is scheduled to run for three years until 2023.

In the videos, Schurter will be seen from summer 2021 in various encounters between bikers, hikers and other mountain walkers. The videos will show that it is possible to live together in the mountains thanks to mutual respect. In Graubünden, an 11,000-kilometer network of trails is open to everyone for sports and leisure.

Schurter's personal concern

"Fairtrail means 'nice, clean and ready'. This corresponds 100 percent to my personal attitude," lets Nino Schurter in a message from Graubünden Ferien. Each and everyone can make a contribution so that encounters in the mountains become a positive experience for everyone, he said. "I'm glad that I can now commit myself to this as a testimonial," Schurter continues.

For Graubünden Ferien, the Grisons mountain bike pro is the ideal ambassador to express the Fairtrail attitude. "Nino Schurter is at home in the mountains and is there even without a bike. Together with him, we can raise awareness even more strongly for the peaceful coexistence of everyone who uses the wide network of trails in the mountains for sports and leisure," says Graubünden Ferien CEO Martin Vincenz with conviction.

Part of a cantonal project

The videos with Nino Schurter as testimonial are part of the cantonal project "Fairtrail Graubünden 2021-2023", which has been approved by the Graubünden government. In addition to basic work, the project includes the continuation of the Fairtrail campaign, first launched in 2019, which uses various means to promote respect and tolerance in biking and hiking, but also in trail running and other leisure activities.
