On Thursday morning, September 7, the 42nd General Meeting of ADC Switzerland took place.

At the start, President Frank Bodin recalled the new strategy defined 4 years ago: A 5-point plan with numerous ambitious goals such as the Creative Week with charisma beyond the industry, or the professionalization and expansion of the education and training offer, for example with the Ad School as a recognized CAS for strategists and creative professionals.

The annual review presented by the board members impressively demonstrated the range of achievements of the association of leading creative professionals in the communications industry. The meeting also gave its members the opportunity once again to remember Hansjörg Zürcher, who passed away in January of this year.

Cube winners are no longer "penalized

A motion adopted by the meeting should please future winners of an ADC Cube: Until now, if you won, you had to pay a not inconsiderable amount to cover the costs of publishing your work - actually a punishment of the winners; this contribution will be dropped in the future, but the submission fees were raised slightly. This as well as all other motions - including after more than 20 years the increase of the active membership fees by 100 francs - were accepted by the meeting.

Martin Spillmann reported on a lot of good news at the European level. With the "Remember You Are A Member" program, all members of ADC Switzerland benefit from the wide range of offers of ADC of Europe, of which they are automatically also members. The program includes the ADC*E Awards and the 3rd Festival of Creativity in November, as well as a wide range of training and continuing education opportunities.
