In 2014, LZ Medien and Tagblatt Medien were merged into one business unit as regional media of the NZZ Media Group. The brand strategy was then developed in close cooperation with the agency Ammarkt from eastern Switzerland. A pitch was subsequently invited for the joint advertising presence, which Ammarkt won. The new campaign focuses on regional journalism with a clear message to readers: "Talk to us.

In times of digital free news and general information overload, the campaign emphasizes quality journalism and its contribution to shaping public opinion. After all, if you know the relevant facts, you know what you're talking about, you'll be heard, and you'll give your opinion decisive weight. Thanks to the regional titles of the NZZ Media Group, readers have a head start in knowledge and greater understanding of their regional habitat.

On the one hand, the campaign communicates editorial content via a combination of flexible headlines and portraits on the various channels. On the other hand, the message "Have your say." is increasingly to be made tangible via complementary measures and to involve the population in the public discourse.

"For a living democracy, having your say is indispensable. That's why we want to use this campaign to communicate the importance of high-quality journalism on a local and global level - for each individual and for society as a whole," says Christine Bolt, Deputy Head of St. Galler Tagblatt.
