Stephan Klapproth leaves "Sternstunden
Stephan Klapproth relinquishes moderation of "Sternstunde Philosophie" after the summer program.
The longtime host of "10vor10" will continue to be available to SRF for special political broadcasts such as the night special on the US presidential election on November 8, 2016. In addition, the political science graduate is deepening his work as a journalism lecturer at various Swiss universities and as an independent communicator. Klapproth has been a member of the "Sternstunde Philosophie" moderation team for just under two years. During this time, he has produced programs with high-profile guests such as José Manuel Barroso, Carla Del Ponte, Yanis Varoufakis, Joschka Fischer, Rüdiger Safranski and the clown Dimitri. His last show was about the search for a different Europe as a result of Brexit.
According to the statement, Klapproth has decided to devote more time to his own projects in the future. He will continue to be seen on screen as a presenter of special political programs - the next time in the night special on the U.S. presidential election in November. His successor on Sternstunden will be announced at a later date.
