Angelo Geninazzi grew up bilingually in Ticino, studied economics in Fribourg and headed the Economiesuisse office in Lugano for several years. He is currently mayor of Melide and very well connected in Italian-speaking Switzerland. Filling the media position in Lugano offers direct communication with the discounter, which currently operates eleven stores in Ticino.
